Gotta Get Back In Time

It’s Friday!! I am looking forward to the weekend, but before we get there I had a thought earlier this morning I’d like to share.

“I need to live in such a way today so that tomorrow I won’t have to come back to repair something I’ve broken, damaged or destroyed.”

I was mulling over the remaining 2018 calendar and realized Michele and I don’t have a great deal of spare time. This year is flying by and we have a lot of plans including a wedding, a family vacation, services, outreaches, events, birthdays, anniversaries, and a missions trip to the Dominican Republic. We don’t know how we’re gonna squeeze it all in, it’s going to be interesting.

With our packed schedule in mind, if today I cause harm to someone, I am eventually going to come back to this place in time and make amends. Going back then takes time away from what is already on the schedule, and in my absence, those people and events may suffer. Besides, God’s design for us is to move forward, not backward.

I hope that makes sense to you…lol!

The bottom line…don’t live selfishly today. Live with pure intention. Keep expectations reasonable. It will keep you from having to revisit today, and making repairs down the road.

Praying you have a pleasant weekend.
